Barrydale. Town of the year

Two journalists had checked in the night before. It was a our Christmas party. We were closed for the day. But at breakfast they were so full of questions that Wayne never boarded the party bus to Warm Waterberg and committed the morning to showing them the dorp. Only later did we find out why they were in town.

The purchase of a closed down hotel 'in the middle of no where 'seemed like an odd choice for out frends , but this was a hotel in the middle of South Africas finest self drive route half way between the Garden and the Cape on  Route 62. We've been working hard to get the message through to overseas visitors that is a place worth more than overnight stop. Who can blame them for wanting to rush on ? We've done the same ourselves when on self drives overseas, But a Barrydale list of  To Do's working . Classic car touring groups are checking in, motorcycle groups have us on their radar and family gatherings are happening. We are all so delighted be part of the Karop Art Hotel 🖖.
